Why Training Encyclopedia

First of all I would like to make it very clear that this blog has been dedicated only for Training on Soft skills and not for Technical skills. Second.... I firmly believe that Knowledge shared is knowledge gained.........Hence, any one is free to use the materials and content available in this blog for their Training Needs.

As every one is aware, Soft skills has taken a new dimension in the last couple of years. Its importance and relevance to the current industrial trend cannot be ignored. Ten years ago, in the initial years of an individual's career, his/ her technical abilities were important to get good assignments. However, in the recent years, with the increase in competition, where more technically qualified individuals are available in the market, the industry has added one more criteria in the selection and admission process - "Soft Skills." You may be the best of the best technically, buf if you don't display good people skills ( Nearest meaning of soft skills) there are least chances that you may be looked upon as a prospect.

Also, when it comes to growing in an organisation, it is their personality that matters more. So in large organisations where several people with similar technical expertise will compete for a promotion, it is soft skills that diffentiates this individual from others. Hence, it becomes important that an individual sharpens his axe from time to time to stay ahead in this race.

Now going back to the purpose of this blog, the main objective of launching this blog is to pool in as much information on soft skills into the same basket on this subject. Currently we are running from pillar to post in search of material on various topics of soft skills and behavioural skills. Imagine if your were able to pick any material from a single place. It not only makes your job easy but also saves you a lot of time.

These materials can be used to train your teams and enhance their people skills.

In the next post we will see
